I will learn lessons today
that I didn't know
I needed to learn
I pray that they'll be happy
not sad, or mad, or stern
Whether driving in my car
Or Walking cross the lawn
There's a mishap out there waiting
like the sun at break of dawn
It's inevitable as the sunrise
On cloudy, dark or clear
Days that we'll all experience
Through the lens, the nurse, the ear.
We must live as we're living
Calling forth our lives
With the lessons of our Fathers
or our Mothers or our Wives
Ringing in the ear
Lashing of the tongue
Let's all go drive safely
Before the next lesson's begun
